######################################### # Issue ######################################### Standby was not in SYNC with primary because STANDBYFILEMANAGEMENT is set to MANUAL. On 09-Nov-2012 two new datafiles were added in Primary, because of this manual settings the files got created in $ORACLEHOME/dbs location instead of Diskgroup. ######################################### # Alert Log Errors ######################################### Fri Nov 09 11: File #6 added to control file as 'UNNAMED00006' because the parameter STANDBYFILEMANAGEMENT is set to MANUAL The file should be manually created to continue.
Resolving GAP for Standby. I had an issue of missing archives on STANDBY server (Log GAP) and somehow. I identified log GAP using query on Standby database. Or at the recovery prompt manually feed the file name with a full path.
Description: In my database archive log file are deleted from the primary database after taken RMAN backup. In physical standby database, there is log gap which is already deleted from the primary database and MRP process is waiting for the log file. Find out the backup archive log file. List backup of archivelog sequence 8760; 2. Transfer backup archive log file into Standby database. Restore archive log file using log sequence number.
